Sponsorship

Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives are being offered Sponsorships to work in various hospitals throughout Australia.

Most hospitals are State Government organizations and wages are as per the public sector award /EBA pertaining to that State or Territory. Wages paid in private hospitals come under the specific Private Award for that hospital.

Registered Nurses will be required to have a minimum of post graduate experience depending on the prerequisite of the individual Health Facilities. And preferably have specialised skills e.g. ICU, Midwifery, A&E, Renal, Pediatric etc. These prerequisites will be advised to you on further discussion with your NT Medic Healthcare Agency Consultant.

Most hospitals offering Sponsorship have single accommodation available at current rental charges. Alternative accommodation arrangements not provided by the hospital can be sourced by the nurse.

Nurses interested in sponsorship must be aware that international travel is at your own expense. Any domestic travel offered depends on the region.

During the sponsorship, there will be opportunities available to develop skills through Hospital Education Workshops, self driven Accredited Courses, and to work with people in a very multi-cultural environment.

The sponsorship process can be quite painless if you have completed the forms correctly. We are able to provide you with the information and documentation required. The process involves interaction between 3 areas:

NT Medic Healthcare Agency
Hospital interested in offering your Sponsorship.
Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs

Nurses interested in obtaining Sponsorship must supply us with copies of the following documentation:

Curriculum Vitae/Resume
Names & contact details of 3 referees
Training Certificates
Evidence of current Nursing Registration (within Australia and Overseas.)
Certificates of Service
Identification – Birth Certificate and Passport
Marriage Certificate/ Change of Name Certificate (if applicable)
Recent Passport Photo showing a good likeness with usual signature on the back
